The service has been running since 1994 and offers free bereavement counselling support to any family member of the deceased.
Our counsellor makes an initial telephone follow up call after a few weeks, at which time families have the option regarding accessing the service then, or later, as required. The bereavement service continues to be available should concerns arise in the future.
Family members are also able to opt out of the call if they would prefer not to be contacted.
Sessions can take place either face to face in a designated counselling room at Stott House, or via telephone, or video call, whichever is the persons preference.
Our current counsellor Julie, is an experienced, qualified counsellor who has worked in a variety of settings including mental health services, education and bereavement services.
